::Reclaimer Chronicles:: An Unintended Hiccup

Every time I finish a piece of work I feel is decent enough to upload, I face another challenge so great I sit baffled at my screen staring hopelessly for long periods of times. I swear I can't think of reasonable excuses that will compensate for the weeks I leave my profile 'updateless.' But, I do have a some pretty cool stuff to share. I am not a writer or a very creative person, but I do have an imagination. Just as Spartan Ops told the story of the events between Halo 3 and 4, I plan to do the same with iconic characters from Halo 4 in banners/posters. So I'm going to drop the beat. [Spoilers ahead]

::Reclaimer Chronicles:: An Unintended Hiccup
After her failure on completing an ONI assigned task for one of the first times, Spartan Palmer proved unsuccessful on the field. Though she failed to complete orders on the execution of Halsey she still proved most efficient out of all the Spartans enrolled in the IV Program. This created her a suitable candidate for a revolutionary step in the UNSC Spartan Program: Project V.

The UNSC had very little knowledge of the Ur-Didact's effects on Earth and his intentions as The Master Chief did. With Master Chief MIA right after his rescue from a nuclear explosion, once again the Chief is no longer available leaving him; relieved of duty. As no threat has risen other than the Storm Covenant's knowledge of humanity having half of a key to a forerunner secret map, the UNSC realizes they need to be ready for anything and the time to act is now.

Spartan Project Five was under way with only one suitable subject, who happens to be the Spartan 4 Commander. The intentions of this project are to create a super soldier capable of everything Spartan Project II applicants were able to accomplish and more. The project was pricey and seemed more than useful in a long run, but only under one condition would it work: the nominee survived the augmentation.

The map Doctor Halsey found was no joke for it started revealing its contents regularly whenever attempts to crack it were made. Fortunately the UNSC had a large enough database to understand at least some of the information granted by this divided Key. This vague information all lead to some sort of facility in deep space. Something in someplace with great power, able to fuel thousands of machines. Sure enough it was powerful, deadly and too risky to leave wide open to their enemies who have the other half of the key and a breathing reader and translator: Halsey.

In the UNSC's favour; Project V was successful. Out of the modifying chamber the eight and a half foot Spartan stood ready, armed and equipped for anything that may cross the UNSC's way in the search for a station of infinite power.
Finally the station’s relative coordinates were pinpointed on the current galaxy map and the expedition began as the Spartan V program could finally be tested in action and the first step in the Key of the map was to be discovered. Weeks and finally the Infinity arrived, and sure enough it was there. A beam of light shot into the sky as the generators around it glowed with power.
Spartan IV teams were ready for departure, and Spartan V: Palmer was to be teamed up with one of the greatest: Valiant Squad. Covenant ships swarmed the sky while they exited hyperspace as if they knew the UNSC would be there. This wasn't going to be a skip in the park. The Storm Covenant were ready but so was the UNSC, so was Palmer. Palmer was fuelled with revenge and so was her victim; the other half of the key’s reader.

This is one of the first things I have ever written from my imagination just for fun. So if you like it please tell me, and if you don't please tell me that as well. So enjoy and hopefully you can expect more! <3
